About: I wanted to teach myself Git since I had not used it yet within a professional setting. Using Git and SASS, I made up a project to showcase my love of Grime music. I created a style tile, landing page and playlist using Spotify. At the time I was in Spotify’s Rockstar program and had shared the playlist through their community portal.

The visual direction came from Wiley, often referred to as Grime’s godfather and one of my favourite Grime artists. He is also known as Eskiboy because he is the founder of Eskimo style within Grime. I picked some fun “icy” tones that could be cold or diamond ice to reflect this. I envisioned him as the headliner, an app and so much more, the project seemed endless.

I enjoyed the look and feel of the typography stylization so much that I ended up using it again in other infographic projects.

I ended up learning the basics of Git such as adding notes, setting up branches, and connecting to projects remotely, I’d say mission accomplished.
